...Am I beautiful?
As far as I know, I am the only creature of my kind to exist. My strange appearance often unnerves other species. They taunt me, and chase me. Will I ever find that someone that can see the beauty in me... or do I have none?

Androzani my dear alien mare in some deep contemplation there. :)
The little flying creature in the picture is one that I created while drawing this. It's a Glasswing Hummingbird Butterfly. Since 'Zani is on an alien planet, I didn't want to draw a creature that already existed. Thought the combination could look quite pretty, and it does. :meow:

Can't believe how motivated I am to do art since I got my new laptop (and CS5 with it!)

Oh, and for those of you interested, here's the first ever picture I did of Androzani, back in 2007!

I think she is very beautiful indeed! I mean, in my opinion, just because people or animals are different, doesn't mean they are ugly. Personality is more precious than looks :) I might have to draw Androzani, she is such an interesting character. I like how she has the ability to fit in to every landscape! :)

I completely agree with your statement. :)
Being different doesn't equal ugly. I love Androzani so much for that reason, she's very different and alien, and yet can still retain a beautiful appearance and personality.
What's more awesome about her is being able to create anti-gravity to float! :D

:D Andozani is cool and so unique, I don't think I've seen another character like her on dA! I'd love to make an alien horse, I'd need to think about it a lot though. I especially love her eight eyes. Imagine how awesome that'd be if real life horses had that many eyes :) They wouldn't need the whole flight or fight system that way! :giggle: And anti gravity is such a neat idea!

That's true! If horses had that many eyes then they'd be pretty great at spotting predators before they can attack them. With Zani's eyes, two sets see in regular colour, one set sees in infrared, and one set sees ultraviolet, meaning that she has super effective vision across all spectrums. :)
