Fire Tutorial by Malcassairo Fire Tutorial by Malcassairo
:bulletred:After the suggestion of a tutorial from my good friend =CricketWings I have finally got around to making one.:bulletred:

Now you can all play with fire! :dummy:

I hope it's easy enough to understand, this is my first time making one. ^^;
I tried to make it as short and understandable was possible.

I made it in Photoshop CS3.

If you find the tutorial useful, please let me know! :)

Here's the two pictures of mine that I used this fire-making technique on:

'Now you can play with fire!' lol

Great tutorial, thanks for sharing =)

I've got a question, is it necessary to have a black background as a starter? If so, is it okay if I make a black background on another layer instead of 'background'?

Gaaah, please forgive me for taking centuries to reply to your comment! ^^;

In response to your question, the black background doesn't have to be on the "background" layer. The colour doesn't have to be black, either, but for the best results it's good to use a dark shade, brown, navy blue, dark green...any colours that are quite dark work best. :)

:iconmalcassairo:

Hmm, you should be able to go up to Filter at the top of the screen, in between 'select' and 'view' and then go down to blur, then gaussian blur on its drop menu.
Does that work? ^^;

I downloaded deviantPLUS v3, and it's got some really nifty tricks on it so I can pretty-fy things and make organising pre-written messages easier.

Thanks very much for suggesting I make a tutorial, people really love it! :glomp:

A couple of the techniques seem familiar... You've really expanded upon them though! Good job.
